Recent revisions to Florida Statutes have expanded opportunities for degree-seeking students enrolling in Spring 2014 classes at Indian River State College. Students who graduated from a Florida public high school since 2007, and who meet other eligibility requirements, may be exempt from placement testing and developmental education classes. In addition, those students who are serving as an active duty member of any branch of the United States armed services are exempt from mandatory placement testing and developmental education instruction.
IRSC encourages all students to take advantage of placement testing and all academic support available to ensure success. Beginning in Spring 2014, IRSC students will have more options than ever before to establish a foundation for student success.
